I finally got the chance to see The Royal Foundry perform!! They’re an Alternative Pop duo from Edmonton(!) that I’ve been following since 2021. They came through Temple at The Starlite Room on Saturday, March 25th with Vancouver band, Fake Shark. I had never heard of Fake Shark but they were fun and sassy and so, naturally, I’m a fan now.
Temple was a smelly pool of sweat that night, so I stood in one place for their whole performance.
The Royal Foundry came on stage at 11PM. ELEVEN AT NIGHT! Ha!! This is the life I choose everyday, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. If I’m not stage-side with my camera in hand, you can find me in bed at 11PM. Period.
However, it was absolutely worth it because their sprightful energy on stage was a fun challenge to capture. Even between all of the excited fans’ sweaty bodies and bumping fists. Enough with all the words:
